Early New Zealand Books Online38 is a collection provided by the University of Auckland Library. The collection comprises books about New Zealand published between 1800 and 1870, and covering traditional Maori society and culture and early British settlement in New Zealand. The database contains full text and can be searched by keyword. Texts are proofread and an index of variant spellings has been compiled. The collection is still growing and at the end of 2009, around 240 texts were available.
