Carynulas used by the author for body liposculpture. They are Tulip cannulas that adapt to 60cc Toomey-tip syringes. 7 mm (gauge), 25 cm long cannulas. All of these cannulas have pyramid tips. Next are 3 mm (gauge), 25 cm long anesthesia needle, and two dissector cannulas, one 35 cm and the other 25 cm long, both 3 mm (gauge). 3. 6 mm (gauge), blunt tip, three lateral holes. It differs from the mercedes tip by having three lateral holes and a solid side for safety. This cannula is fast, suctioning fat from more areas than a one-hole cannula.

By pushing the gluteus downward toward the toes, a gravitational effect is simulated (Fig. 18), and any superficial fat present along the treated area becomes evident. Aspirating superficially with a 3-mmcannula, numerous crisscross tunnels are made to remove the residual fat discovered by the maneuver just discussed (Fig. 19). Each deformity is different. 17. (A) Site before deep suction. (B) Site after deep suction with a smooth contour and reduction of the bulge. types. Most of these deformities are trochanteric (lateral femoral) defects (type A), so we defat more at one point, removing decreasing amounts as we move toward the periphery of the bulge.
